Jacaranda Wood Disc & Recycled Glass Sample
This sample set showcases the natural beauty and material integrity behind Ngala Trading’s Jacaranda Wood Disc & Recycled Glass designs. Each hand-cut jacaranda wood disc highlights the tree’s distinctive grain and organic character, offered in Natural, Light Charcoal, and Dark Charcoal finishes. Paired with a sculptural recycled glass disc, the sample reflects the artisanal process and sustainable ethos central to the collection.
Jacaranda (Jacaranda mimosifolia) is a sub-tropical tree native to South America and widely planted in Southern Africa for its iconic violet blooms. Considered an invasive species in South Africa, felled trees are responsibly reclaimed, giving the wood a renewed purpose as lighting and décor elements.
The recycled glass component is crafted from repurposed bottles, melted and shaped by hand, resulting in subtle variations in texture, tone, and form—each piece entirely unique.
Note: Due to the organic nature of wood and recycled glass, variation in color, grain, size, and shape is to be expected and celebrated.
