Evolution is a line of South African-based soft textiles, namely pillows and wall panels, inspired by the region’s history and landscapes.Itsoriginal designs are created from historical sources, working with various archives in South Africa to obtain visual references of historical artworks, processes, and techniques to create a visual representation of South Africa’s creative history. Evolution is a woman-owned company, producing all products locally and sourcing many raw materials within South Africa, supporting the country’s few remaining mills. Each piece is digitally printed, hand-stitched, and hand-dyed locally, using environmentally friendly pigments on 100% linen fabrics. Its designs feature organic shapes and materials in refined muted colors, transforming nostalgic narratives into products for luxurious interiors.
