Ardmore velvet and linen fabrics should be used indoors only and not placed in direct sunlight. The velvet pile can be brushed with a soft cloth in the same direction as the pile. These types of fabric should be dry cleaned. Recommendations for Ardmore outdoor fabric suggest that prolonged exposure to midday sun may cause the fabric to fade and prolonged exposure to damp will cause mildew and/or mold.  You should also avoid exposure to chlorine or oily substances
