The Wood Disc Chandelier is crafted from sustainably-sourced Jacaranda wood that has been cut and shaped by hand. Available with optional ombre finish and optional opaque glass discs. Both the wood and the glass have been recycled (Jacaranda is an invasive species that is cut and burned; the glass discs were Coke bottles in a prior life). The result is a bohemian yet elegant light fixture that fits any design style.

Jacaranda mimosifolia is a sub- tropical tree native to south-central South America that has been widely planted elsewhere because of its attractive and long-lasting violet- colored flowers. Deemed an invader species in South Africa, the tree is felled and the wood collected for wooden chandeliers is collected from local tree dumps.
